In the past few months, we have settled into our new convent-home, welcomed a sister into her first year of novitiate, started a new academic year at Saint Joseph's College Seminary, and more. There are no words to describe our gratitude for all the love poured out upon our Community during our recent move to Gastonia. Countless individuals and families invested time, materials, labor, and prayers into turning this house into our convent-home, named after Our Lady of Loreto. This move truly took a village! On Friday, August 4th, the feast of Saint John Vianney (patron saint of parish priests), the Daughters were blessed to welcome our Eucharistic Lord into our chapel at our very first Holy Mass. The word is out! In two years, the Daughters have grown from one sister to four, with at least one aspirant hoping to enter soon! After discerning that it is time to expand, it is with great joy that we announce our transition into a new home in Gastonia. Sisters in formation are excited to keep working at MiraVia, the maternity home in Belmont, and are thankful for a manageable commute. Sister Mary Raphael will continue cooking and house administration at St. Joseph College Seminary in Charlotte. We are currently in the process of fundraising in order to pay off [...]
